I was so relieved today when I watched the smoothest move of furniture. Jake and another gentlemen whose name I did not catch were my movers and were... great at communication, extremely helpful with moving some items into our vehicles for removal elsewhere and where so quick within 2 hours my In-Town move of furniture was complete and no damage to anything.The original move date had to be rescheduled twice due to 'The worst blizzard we've seen in over 50 years!' Recently, I was relocating my elderly parent from Marquette, requiring a long-distance move. Guindon Moving & Storage was extremely helpful... throughout the entire process. So often, companies forget that their customers don’t do large life-changing moves like this every day. That is not the case with Scott and Amy. Due to an unexpected illness, my family’s plan to move after selling our home was no longer feasible. With the closing date less than two weeks away... I called Guindon, just in case they could help. Help they did, moving around other jobs to send three movers and a truck to empty our house in time for the closing! I cannot say enough what a blessing this was during a very stressful time! Every employee is fantastic: helpful, cheerful, and kind. They truly take care of their customers. This was my second experience with Guindon, the first nearly 15 years ago when they also packed up our entire house. I could not wait to call Guindon Moving and storage as soon as the movers finished the delivery. I asked the office, “why would anyone use any other... moving company”? I first called approximately 6 weeks prior to our move. Because we did not have a firm date due to the sale and closing date, Annie asked me to call back closer to the exact date. When I called her back Guidon had secured a big project and were booked on the day we needed. I just did not know who else to call or what to do. Later that day Annie called me back and said they would free up two guys for the date I requested. Kyle and Ethan showed up on time and got right to work. They had our belongings safely tucked away in the truck in two hours. They followed me to the contents destinations. Yes, three different destinations with a couple of furniture swaps. I was so worried that my requests would be overwhelming but the guys understood clearly and completed all the moves effortlessly and respected all the buildings and possessions. Right from the very first call I knew we had the right company and people to do the job. Professional, polite, and pleasant on the phone. Our closing... date got a little complicated and Roger and his staff was understanding and flexible about changing dates. On the day of the move 3 men showed up with a large truck, you could tell they knew what the were doing by the order that they loaded the truck and the way they fit everything into the truck. This was my first time using a moving company and the guys I got from Guindon were great. They were very nice and respectful. They took extra care to... make sure my cat was secured while moving things out and were pretty careful with my items overall. They also went above and beyond to make stuff work. My box spring wouldn't fit up the stairs so one of the guys walked it around the entire building and they hoisted it up the side of the building to the emergency exit in the back! Unfortunately after PLENTY of out of the box thinking and effort the guys were not able to get my couch through the door way, but they gave me 30% off to Ashley Home Store to buy a new one and helped me store it in my storage area. It did end up being a bit more expensive than the estimate, so that was the only real negative I have, but it was well worth it. Anything they took apart they rebuilt (though my one of the legs on my kitchen table is a bit funky now) and they helped me place everything exactly where I wanted it. They were a great help. Definitely recommend.read more

These people are amazing. I was sitting in a lot with a 20' loaded truck, ready to move into my new apartment. The movers I had hired NO SHOWED. I... am new to the area, a woman, and solo. I had no idea how I could get help, especially at the last minute nearing the 4th of July. I called Guindon Moving Co. and spoke to amazing Annie. Annie said she had a crew that she could dispatch immediately. They arrived at my place within 30 minutes. The guys were so polite and professional. They managed to clean out the truck in short order and did it with a smile in the intense heat we had. Scott and Tyler were absolutely phenomenal. I would recommend this company, hands down, over and above any company. They exceeded my expectations by a wide margin and I hope that anyone who reads this review will use Guindon Moving. Guindon Moving and Storage is a top-notch, professional moving company. I had to move belongings out of a small apartment and into a storage unit. ... I was not organized -- items were all over the apartment. I spoke with the courteous office staff on Monday an scheduled the move for Thursday. The crew showed up on time and quickly packed everything up, safely wrapped in marked boxes. They took it to a 10' x 10' storage unit and got everything to fit. I thought that would be impossible.
