Once you’ve decided on a moving company and agree to use their warehouse storage, your assigned moving specialist will work with you to schedule a moving date. On your scheduled moving day, professional movers will arrive and load all your items into the truck. Once loaded, the truck will bring your belongings to the warehouse, where they’ll be placed in secure, designated vaults. This warehouse will be equipped with climate-control capabilities and comprehensive security systems to ensure your items are safe. Throughout the storage duration, you may ask for access to your stored possessions or request specific items, which the warehouse personnel will locate using the packing process’s catalog. Such access may require prior notice and potentially an additional charge. When it’s time to move into your new residence, the moving company will deliver the belongings and unload them at the destination. Once everything is in place, you will conduct a final walkthrough and sign off on the move with your team leader.

Finding a reliable storage provider requires looking at their experience, licensing, insurance, and customer reviews. Proper experience and licensing ensure that the storage provider is following industry regulations. Look for years of experience, as well as a valid USDOT, MC, and MPSC-L license, on the company’s website to ensure they are reliable. It’s also a good idea to visit the warehouse facility beforehand. Seeing the warehouse in person allows for a more accurate evaluation of its condition, security measures, and overall fit for your storage needs.
As for customer reviews, pay close attention to the total number of positive reviews. The more positive reviews there are typically means that previous customers have had a good experience with the company. It’s also important to look at recent reviews. Looking at the most recent reviews ensures you are seeing the current state of the company’s services and team. It’s recommended to look for companies with at least a 4/5 star rating, as this often indicates consistent customer satisfaction and quality service.

Careful evaluation allows the storage provider to develop a comprehensive moving and storage plan as well as your final cost. The items are then transported to the warehouse and stored in secure vaults until the customer is ready to move into their home or office. Finally, the moving team will then unload and organize the items at their final destination, per your instructions.

Pallet and vault storage are the two most common storage solutions in the moving & storage industry. Pallets and vaults offer an efficient space-saving method to organize and securely store various items. Oversized items, like gun safes and pianos, are typically stored on their own individual pallet or in their own section of the warehouse. Most companies also provide climate-control storage, as some items are sensitive to extreme temperatures. It’s a good idea to verify the storage methods of a company beforehand to ensure they are using safe and secure storage methods.
Guindon Moving & Storage uses pallets and vaults to maximize warehouse space. By doing so, we can utilize all 45,000 sq. ft. of our spacious warehouse facility to create an organized and secure environment for your belongings. With our commitment to safety and organization, you can trust Guindon Moving & Storage to safeguard your possessions until you are ready to move in.

The first step of the pickup and delivery process begins with the customer scheduling a moving date. Once a moving date is scheduled, a moving plan will be developed, and the customer will receive an Order of Service with an estimated cost. On the day of your move, a moving crew will carefully load your pre-packed items and furniture onto the padded truck before transporting them to the warehouse. Upon arrival at the warehouse, the moving team will carefully unload and store the items in secure wooden vaults. When the customer is ready to move into their home or office, the moving team will transport and unload the items at the destination. If the customer adds additional unpacking services, the moving team will carefully unpack and organize each item into its correct place.
As a family-owned and operated company, Guindon Moving & Storage understands the importance of a reliable pickup and delivery procedure for their customers. That’s why we offer flexible and convenient scheduling options to cater to our customer’s needs.
