Where is Marquette, Michigan?
Marquette, Michigan is located on the northern coast of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and is situated along the south shore of Lake Superior. If you make the track all the way to the Mackinac Bridge, Marquette, MI still is still about two hours and 45 minutes northwest consisting of 164 miles.
In reference to other popular Upper Peninsula cities, Escanaba is 66 miles away and is almost directly south of the city. Going more west is the city of Iron Mountain which is about 80 miles southwest of Marquette and takes about an hour and a half to get to.
If you plan on traveling from popular out of state cities like Chicago or Milwaukee, you might consider finding a flight that lands at the Sawyer International Airport which is only about 30 minutes from the downtown area. However, if you do plan on making the drive, the city is just under a 7-hour drive from Chicago and a 5-hour drive from Milwaukee.
